PACIFIC PLACE
Opened in October 1998, Pacific Place redefined retail and entertainment in the Pacific Northwest. The $175 million, 335,000 square foot center brought five levels of shopping, dining, and entertainment to the heart of downtown Seattle, all organized around a dramatic crescent-shaped atrium topped by a skylight.
To create a welcoming pedestrian experience, the exterior was designed as a collection of smaller façades with distinct identities, rather than one solid block. A skybridge across Sixth Avenue links Pacific Place directly to Nordstrom’s flagship store, anchoring it as a vital part of Seattle’s retail core.
Pacific Place also includes the largest retail parking facility in downtown Seattle, with general and valet parking for 1,200 vehicles. Pine Street Group developed, leased, and managed the project until its sale in 2014.
